JOINING NSTBG

If you decide to join Northside Town Branch Group, your application for membership will require approval by our Membership Committee. You will need to answer the profile questions as thoroughly as you can. Our profile questions are not difficult but we ask that you consider the time you have to give to NSTBG. Because we are a non-profit citizen action group, we need people who can be out front and in the trenches and devote a large portion of their time, and we also need people who can be behind the scenes and give a couple of hours. We will need citizens who can step up and lead a project or ones who can assist a leader of a project. We need citizens to be members of NSTBG so our communities can be informed of what is happening in Fort Smith, what problems are needing to be fixed, and the solutions being brought to the forefront for consideration. We need your voice; we need your presence. Remember, there is strength in numbers. Just let us know what you can offer. And, please, when inputting your name, please list the name your parents gave you, no nicknames or screen-names. Citizenry input is wanted and needed. Please consider joining NSTBG and helping us make Fort Smith the city we know it can be.

Ethical standards may prevent governmental departments from joining our website as voting members, so NSTBG has established a subscriber category. This will allow access to the information contained herein, without you being an official member. Any person may join, for information access only, under the subscriber category. Joining under the subscriber category does not allow voting priveleges.

Upon joining NSTBG as a voting member, please read NSTBG By-Laws located in the Forum section of the Main page. You will be asked to agree to abide by NSTBG By-Laws, to conduct yourselves in a courteous, professional manner that will not be destructive to the group, and to follow the general direction of NSTBG. Also, know that we will be collecting dues (a nominal amount) upon approval of your application. They will be due upon receipt of your membership packet. The dues are collected annually, are non-refundable, and are to be used for NSTBG operating costs.
